| I kinda tend toward the hoarding side too, and more than once I've carried a bunch of stuff out into the woods and brought it back unused.
For me, it comes down to the question "How accurately can I predict what conditions I will encounter there?" I kinda envy you guys who have the foresight to know exactly what you'll need, and not carry one thing more. It's a good way to challenge yourself, and I admire you for it. But I've gone into unpleasant places to retrieve the bodies of people whose predictions turned out wrong, and it kinda changed my perspective.
Once you're out there, it's too late to go back and get the stuff you really need.
