Man, you've really got an amazing collection going.

At home I keep a (never used) two mantle Coleman white gas lantern, a kerosene lantern, and an LED lantern...plus candles, of course. Rarely need to use any of them, though.

I am kind of disappointed in Coleman to tell you the truth. We got it as a Christmas present like two years ago so it didn't hold up long!

Hi...

What, if anything, did you decide on?

Check out the Black Diamond Apollo if you want a good, battery operated lantern.

If you want gas it's hard to beat a Coleman.

One of them red clay flower pots from the garden center.
Just put it over a slow flame on a Coleman stove and it will radiate heat. Won't heat the entire house but does well in a small camper or tent.
Make sure you have some ventilation and don't affixiate (sp) yourself.

+1 on the LED lantern. I have a Freeplay LED lantern. It has a hand crank that allows you to crank for like a minute to get hours of light. You can also charge it with a USB cord.
