Default What to get a hill man that has it all

A good friend of mine is what I call a "hill man". He is an expert hunter, fisherman and all around outdoors man. He understands survival, due to being in the tail end of a war many, many, many years ago. I want to get him a birthday present but I am stumped. What do you get a hill man who has it all?

A pocket knife from Moore Maker Matador, TX or a Filson jacket.

You can never go wrong with a good multitool.

I find that even though I have enough of those to hand out to the grandchildren I won't have for 20 years I still don't have enough of those.

Hi...

Knife-oriented items seem like they might fit...providing he doesn't already have one of each...!!

Other items might be good wool socks, and/or freeze dried foods. Ammo? Fishing lures? A gift card for Pizza Hut? A grenade and trip wire for his front door?

Food for his dog(s)?

NOTE:

"Pathfinder", who is now posting on this forum, is NOT Pathfinder1, which is me...!!

Well, a lot of those things, he may have very set in stone habits on. A blade, or a multitool, though, are like shoes to a woman. You can always have another in a slightly different shape or length or metal type.

What about something like this?
