Default ANOTHER hunter shot...by his dog...!!

Hi...

I saw a blog this ayem stating that a hunter in Utah was just stepping off the bow of his boat...after first leaving his 12 gauge shotgun on the boat's bow. His hunting dog "stepped" on the shotgun...and it went off...hitting the hunter...who was ten feet away...in the butt.

According to the newspaper article, the hunter's waders stopped most of the shot, and minimal damage was done.

I think the dog's license should be revoked.

PS ...Being hit by a 12 gauge shotgun blast from only ten feet away would typically have done unimaginable damage. I think something is missing from this tale, eh?

What ever happened to gun safety? These type of accidents should never occur if one is careful.

You're absolutely correct. Stupidity and ignorance. Someone always pays the price.

I suspect there is more to this story than the "hunter" will admit.

I usually don't trek very far,
After my dog shoots me in the arse with my shotgun

(sorry I couldn't resist)

Hmmm, not far from here. Wonder if it was one of them idjits I use to work with? Actually, if it was a cross bolt safety and the gun was lying on its left side, the dog could have both released the safety as well as activating the trigger. Not very likely but it is possible.

Hell of a set of waders! What are they Kevlar combat waders for those who hunt in combat areas.

That's not a good thing. This guy for the rest of his life will be known as "the guy who was shot by his dog". I can see it now, walk into the bar and ask who's that, "oh, that's the dude who's dog shot him in the arse".
