Default Cold Weather Use

What's the coldest that you've gone camping (in general) and in particular, what is the coldest that you've taken your pop up or trailer out?

The coldest I have camped is in 4 F in the snow this year.

I take my pop up trailer hunting every year in October when it gets in the upper 20s F at night.

If it's not work, I love it. Check out my recent adventures.

I can't remember the exact temperature but I spent a few nights in my tent in the snow about ten years ago. But I had warm clothes and shelter so it was OK.

Default Cold enough to snow

On a recent trip to California from our home in Washington state we stopped in Mt Shasta for the night and woke up to 8" of snow on the ground. I am not sure how cold it was but cold enough to snow.
I would post a picture but this website wont let me?

Seven years ago while building our house we lived in our travel trailer. The contractor was supposed to have the house done by October but fell behind. It hit -23 for a record low in early January.....never again!!

One our Boy Scout winter survival trips, the temp dropped to below O F. The boys had been taught what to do and how to do it so they were fine for 2 nights in their caves. We hauled their gear in to the edge of the Wilderness on snow machines while they hiked so they had "beefed up" their sleeping bags with extra blankets and canvas covers.
I never had one whine from my bunch. They stayed happy the entire 3 days.

I'm sure camping in cold temps like that is an adventure for some but I really don't enjoy it at all. On those cold mornings I just don't want to move or even leave my sleeping bag. Not for anything!

I went tent camping to Yellowstone at Labor Day once. We thought early September would be no problem. It was unseasonably cold that year. We woke up to 15 degrees and 3 inches of snow on the ground.

Winter camping is not my style, but I did try it a couple of times, just because my buddies insisted. I think there was a temperature of -5 °C, and despite the warming equipment, the blankets and the hot chocolate, we still caught a cold afterwards...

I forgot to mention that what we did was use an electric blanket on our bed, we would turn it on half hour before going to bed that way it heated up the bed for us.. I loved getting into a warm bed. the furnace kept the inside of the trailer warm enough so nothing below froze. our tanks are enclosed in the underside of the floor which is where the heating ducts run the full length of the trailer. it was so awesome to wake up in the morning nice and warm and look out the window to snow covering everything.
