We were looking at a used camper (pop-up) and as soon as I opened the door I could smell must. Other than the smell the camper was in great shape and it was a great price. I told the guy I would be back tomorrow with my decision.

How easy is it to get the smell out of a camper? Is it because the camper was shut all winter?

Warning mustiness may be the sign of early mold. Check all areas close look close at corners and cracks. They may put the camper away wet or damp. Before you buy I would ask if they could leave it open a few days and re-inspect see if the smell lets up if it still smell musty beware.

Thanks! I actually went back and decided to not buy it. I just could not get past the smell. They left it open all night and it smelled the same. I don't think febreeze or anything would have helped it.

That was a smart decision. There's probably something wrong in there. It probably hasn't been maintained in some fashion.
