| I don't own a house. I haven't for almost five years. I own a ranch with a cabin that has solar electricity. I pretty much live off the land but I'm lazy enough to buy produce. I have a freezer that is constantly stocked with game and fish. I pick mushrooms and harvest onions, garlic, wild carrots and a few other tasties. Most of my fruit comes from the land too.
But, since my income is about 5 grand a month, I have a tendency to backslide towards being a complete jerk and not caring about my carbon footprint. Since I'm retired, I have a lot of time to be a complete jerk and there's no one there to tell me that I should be a better person. And, I don't really want anyone doing it.
