The driver was OK but cold since he was stranded for several hours. My brother-in-law put the guy the the cruiser to warm up as they waited for the tow truck to arrive and get the vehicle out of the ditch. Once the tow truck arrived my brother-in-law got out to talk to the driver and left the other guy in the cruiser. The car was pulled out and my brother-in-law motioned for the other driver to come and get his vehicle. All was good and everyone went on their way. My brother-in-law gets in the cruiser and while driving back to town he notices that the small High Standard Riot shotgun was missing from the holder. After a few hours of investigating, the shotgun was recovered. It turns out while my Brother-in-law was out with the tow truck driver. The other guy tossed the shotgun in the ditch when no one was looking. When everyone parted ways, the bone head went back and got the shotgun. An even more interesting story is how they got it back!
