Default survival class

Just ran across this in Craigs list. I have no idea who is sponsoring this class but for the price, You can't even call it spam. Sounds like a comprehensive course for a beginner. Wonder how good these people are.

Wilderness Survival Course

By the way, the area code would be 208

Looks like a good course structure with interesting topics but everyone wants to call themselves a survival expert these days. Most of the things people teach are downright dangerous. I'd rather stick to classes run by people with actual credentials that can be verified. Couldn't find much on the guy listed in the ad.

I wouldn't travel out there from Illinois. I rather take my chances with a known instructor. If I lived close to this class location, I would check it out. If it turned out to be bogus you could leave with minimal loss and travel time.

Looks like this is the same guy.

I Called Fraga. This is a prepper group out of Idaho Falls with a branch in Montpelier near where this course is being held. They are holding classes on all phases of emergency preparedness. Tomorrow, they are having a defensive pistol course, free, at the Bonneville Co Police Range with certified instructors. They are trying to get monthly activities going in all phases of survival, from food prep and storage to firearms safety.

This wilderness course is being taught by certified wilderness survival experts who are donating their time on this one. (I didn't catch the names as he was breaking up a little in his cell)

Sounds like they are legit enough to get certified people to conduct their classes.

Hi...

Now I understand why...in addition to the cash...they are asking for foods that have a longer shelf life.

What an interesting concept...!!

The food and the cash is to feed you through the course. At least they aren't making you eat bugs......yet

And reading the ad again, a disclaimer the first aid portion is NOT certified. I think this is a well organized group and getting the right kind of help.

Hi...

I didn't see that specifically mentioned, but it does make sense.
