I definitely believe that survival niche sprung out in the last 10-15 years. I'm not old enough to remember how many people were interested in it before that.

I believe that survival business reached it's peak but somewhere deep down I think there is even more out there. I think as crisis in the country rises these stories will only spread more.

I can remember back as far as the 70's when I really got into it. Most folks didn't pay mind to it since those of us who had an interest were looked at as "gun toting militia types". I do believe it's far more popular now due to the internet and TV. News travels so much faster now and the internet can provide so much info. People can easily find a source of info to fit their needs.
