Default Carpet?

I recently saw a couple camping, in a tent in our local primitive camping area. They had brought a carpet for the tent. Now I do like to have little luxuries in my tent but carpet? They had had this carpet specially made for the tent and sewn up around the perimeter. Not the craziest thing I've seen though.

Don't think I would like carpet in a tent, to much cleaning up! I like to be able to just wipe up spills or sweep out the dirt, seems carpet would be to much trouble.

I don't generally spend a lot of time inside my tent, so that would be a bit of a waste.

I'm a tenderfoot so I throw an Indian blanket down. Easy to shake out daily and the ol' dog likes to sleep on it!

I will use a thin mattress or a giant pad inside of a tent, but carpeting sounds silly to me. I might even use a blow up mattress for it if I have the pump that plugs into the cigeratte lighter hole in the car.

When hunting with the HighWall I throw a large tarp down and set thetent up on top of that.
Helps keep the tent floor stay in good condition, especially in wet or snow.
