If there's some water nearby, I take advantage of it. But if not, baby wipes and alcohol.

Speaking of baby wipes, never realized that you can also rehydrate them. Gonna try them once things get warmer and we head out camping again.

What's the difference between dried out baby wipes and a bandana or similar cloth?

A bandana is fine for many things, but I like to have a few baby wipes as well, because they can be used once and tossed in the trash bag. I don't want to use a bandana on my netheregions, give it a rinse, and then use it to wash my face the next morning.

Fair enough. I guess I'm used to hiking where there is always available clean running water. Even when it's cold enough to hurt there is something to be said for rushing water when cleaning the nether regions.

My Camp Chef stove can bring a bucket of water up to hot in short order, and a good wash always makes me feel better. I like having a clean face, hands, "nether regions" and most especially since I'm diabetic, clean feet. I'll deal with the hair when I get home.

We almost always camp within walking distance of a water source, but the few times that we didn't, we boiled about a gallon of water that we had brought with us, let it sit until it cooled enough to wash with, and basically sponge bathed ourselves.

Hope it's not Bean with Bacon soup! Hate to be the next one in after you.

I know...you meant soap!

Pretty much more hygienic, especially when I go camping with my dad and we do a bit of fishing. Not really too keen about using a bandana to wipe my hands after gutting a fish, rinse it, and then use it anywhere on my body after.

I guess I don't see where a bandana helps you clean a fish. I do that on a dry piece of wood - nature's cutting board.

I know you meant "soap," but truly soup in the lake would be better. Please do not use soap in the lake, or any other water source. By all means, swim, but leave your soap out of the water. If you need to soap up, kindly carry a bucket 200 yards from the water source.
