I would start here, on the park's website. The link to Estes Park chamber of commerce lists plenty of private campgrounds with showers and amenities:
Rocky Mountain National Park - Park Partners (U.S. National Park Service)

The NPS websites are full of great information even for things not necessarily inside the park. This is usually the first place I check for recommended dog kennels as well.

Thanks Everyone. I appreciate the links, but I've looked at pretty much all of these. I was looking for first-hand recommendations, but this does help.

Were thinking of going to Sugar Loafin' in Leadville, CO. Anyone doing any camping around Leadville?

It is beautiful around Leadville. I have backpacked close and stayed in a old -- used to be a stage coach stop and a brothel -- motel in a tiny town close by.

I don't know where you are traveling from, but I am sure you will not be disappointed with the views.

You do not have to buy a solar shower or a shower enclosure. I use one of those clear plastic water carriers, 2.5 gallon is more manageable to hang. Then take a small tarp and rope to make a privacy barrier and stand on a piece of closed cell foam. Remember to use the valve to conserve water, it takes me a little less than 2 gallons to shower.

I stayed at SugarLoafin' for one night last September. It's very much a "commercial" campground with a nightly ice cream social and lots of social activities, but there is a nice loop in the back of the campground where the tent sites are - which is great because you're not in with the RV's. The tent sites are huge, nicely wooded and some are still in close walking distance of the shower house. Bathrooms were clean, although I was there in the off-season and it wasn't crowded. You can read my review with photo on Yelp: http://www.yelp.com/biz/sugar-loafin...8N4Hg/src:self

Leadville has become one of my favorite towns in Colorado - you've got Twin Lakes and Turquoise Lake which are both nice recreational areas and lots of mining history in the town itself. You are surrounded on all sides by gorgeous mountain views. Horseback Riding (check out Mega Mountain Magic stables), bike riding, 4WD trails, you name it!
