Default Hand truck perhaps???

I'm getting ready to camp for two weeks at a walk-in site by a lake in the mountains and need advice on how to best transport supplies (68 pound tent included) to the site. I'm thinking that there is at least a wide path to the 20 primative campsites. Do you think that some type of collapsible hand truck would be appropriate? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Do you have far to carry? And does this trip justify an expenditure for a dolly? I think a little wagon would work much better than a handtruck. Radio Flyer makes a little cargo wagon. With removable side panels it would still take quite a bit of room in your car though.

~450 yards with some elevation. I prefer to use my large tent when out for extended periods of time. Not enough room in the car for a wagon, so anything that would pack up small. I was wondering even if some type of luggage carrier would do the trick, but hate to throw money away on something that won't last.

If it was me, I'd rig a litter ( a stretcher), tie my gear to it and walk it in.

Purchase Folding Hand Cart, Collapsible Luggage Carts, Overhead Luggage Push Cart, Portable Folding Hand Carts At Globalindustrial.Com.

I was thinking about something inexpensive and wondered if this might be ok for transporting a bulky canvas tent plus regular rubbermaid containers? I camp alone and am looking for an easier, safer way to transport goods to the camp without tearing a rotator cuff along the way! :-)

That would certainly take less room in the car, much cheaper and may just work fine.

This is what I was thinking of, but more expensive and more cumbersome in the car.

I find a flat wagon type carrier to be much easier than the vehicle dolly kind. Of course then you are back to space in the vehicle worry.

Ok, we're getting closer in finding a collapsable wagon, however this one is too pricy.

Judy, did you look at my link on the steel mesh deck? lay it upside down on your back seat or in the trunk and stack around the wheels? You might have to put a quick disconnect lynch pin on the tounge, but it wouldn't take up much space.
