Tent Camping after an Earthquake

We went through the huge earthquake in Chile back in February. It was so bad that we decided to put up our tents and live outside until all of the tremors had settled down. That was the best thing we could have done. It got rid of the tremendous fear that one feels everytime things start moving. We highly recommend it.

Sorry to hear you had to live through this experience. My cousin was also in Chile during the earthquake. I would have done the same thing as you. Being away from anything that would fall on me would give me great peace of mind.

That is one of the primary recommendations after a major tremor, since aftershocks will surely follow. You should camp our especially if you live in a high rise building.
