Had one once and really liked it. Got rid of my truck and sent it to Alaska for my buddy to use. I think they're a great idea, since you have your truck, you can also store a sleeping pad and other items in there too. Makes for a great place to crash in a pinch.

Do these fit well with tonneau cover rails in place or would you have to swap the rails?

They have their pluses and minuses. My friend has one, and we have camped in it. It's an easy set up and very comfortable with a good air mattress made for truck camping. The minus comes when you need a trip to the latrine in the middle of the night---it's pretty high up off the ground.
