Last hike I did (back in September) and the changes about to happen to my health insurance convinced me to finally go see a doctor about my knees.
I had been having progressively worse pain in the ACL areas of both knees.
Well, the good news was she didn't believe there was any tearing. The bad news she had was I needed to stop hiking for a bit and absolutely no snow shoeing.
It's been killing me. I was used to hiking about 5 to 15 miles every weekend. The pain convinced me she was right though and I have behaved myself. Playing with light ankle weights and heating pads for the last 3 months has resulted in a total absence of pain. I'm hoping to be cleared to be back in pack and on the trail before another month passes.
