I too hike alone and haven't done a planned over nighter myself, other than in the military and those were unplanned. I try to prepare for the "what if's", as far as aggressiveness goes, I think being alone one should up their aggressive posture.

1 Do you go alone? Yes

2 What precautions do you take? I leave my planned route and expected return date with a friend or relative (my wife these days). Other than that I can't think of anything I do differently

3 Are you more consevative or try be be more aggressive? If you mean how fast I hike, I take my time but can speed things up if I need to. If you mean tackling difficult terrain or going off trail, I'm fairly conservative if I'm alone. I take fewer chances.
