Default Petzl Grigri
I found a good deal on the GriGri 1. However I couldn't find any substantial information. Most of what I could find was on the GriGri 2. I have a few concerns about it though. Where there any problems with the original grigri? I know there was a recall on the GriGri 2. Is there any reason why getting a
grigri 1 would be a bad idea?

Have no idea what you're referring to. Could it be the "undulating" dagger, spelled gris gris, but is pronounced gri gri?

No it is not... But outstanding guess. I was referring to the auto locking belaying device developed by the French rock climbing brand "Petzl"
