Default Spelunking with kids

Is it prohibited to explore caves with kids? Has anyone brought their kids inside the underground caves with a tourist guide? How old should the kid be permitted to go inside?

I've gone through the walking caves with my parents when I was younger. And there are what they call caves about an hour or so north of me, I've had a 15 year old with me. I think there are pictures here of it.
