| Depends on health condition more than age.
Years ago when I lived in Houston and before I was married I dove with a guy who was in his 60s or 70s I would guess.
He had been diving all his life though and had lotsa cool stories about diving during World War 2 for some Civilian agency in support of the war effort. Inspecting & repairing overseas underwater structures if I remember correctly.
I remember the story when he had to fight a enemy sabatour underwater, kicked the guys ass and captured him.
I think I would try the class at your local scuba shop and see if it is for you and you are up to it.
