| Ouch! Poor kid didn't know to let the air out when going up.
A lot of people become complaicent (sp?) or dive above their training level. These mistakes are sometimes compounded by a buddy. They feel safer and are drawn into a bad situation, then panic sets in.
Solo divers realize they have no plan B. Dive profiles are more conservative and some folks, me included, feel I only have one person to worry about, not two.
Most people feel diving alone is bad. They should stick to the buddy plan.
