Default My FFFFEEEeet Are FFFFREeZZING!

We have temps down into the teens and my feet are freezing! Looks like it's going to be a wonderful night for the old electric blanket. How do you keep your feet warm, besides putting them on the big dog below you in front of the couch)?

Grew up in an unheated cabin bedroom with a hot water bottle. Also wear socks. Any sock will keep your foot warmer but the merino wool are the best. If your temp is at an abnormal low for your area, relax, your body will adjust in a couple of days. And if the cold feet persist, better check with the docs and see if a circulation problem is developing.

Wool socks are the best thing on the planet for keeping feet warm. If you are allergic to wool, put on a thin cotton sock and then put the wool socks over the cotton.

I don't have to trek very far,
when all around warm sox are.

Hi...

The wearing of socks is a good idea. Sometimes my feet will feel cold in the morning, especially when it's colder out...at which time my bedroom heat tends to decrease proportionally. The rest of me remains nice and warm.

In cold country, I would also wear a hat.

Socks always and slippers over those socks most days. Once my feet get cold - forget it, I can't get warm! I never walk around bare foot in the fall or winter. Brrr...

I make 8" square pillows out of thin fleece, with a pound to pound and a half of rice in it. Heat this for 2 minutes in the microwave and use it to warm your feet and take it to bed along with sox. I make em in pairs cause we have two feet, knees, shoulders, etc. They will keep you warm in bed for a long time.

My feet are always cold, even in July. My house is cozy with the woodstove, and I have flannel sheets on our bed. I sleep in wool socks and sometimes down booties as well, and I can still lay awake half the night with cold feet and hands. Drives me crazy. Someone gave me some flannel rice bags a couple weeks ago, and it was one of the best gifts I've ever had. She also made me one out of a cotton tube sock, which is lovely because it wraps around the shoulders just right.

I have slippers, thumpers and knitted socks. Sometimes I wear just one of them (but on both feet) and sometimes the socks with either thumpers or slippers. My feet are cold but not as cold as they were when I lived above a basement.
