Default Short shoeing hike today

The dogs and I got out for some excercise today. The trip was twofold. Undo some of grandma's fine cooking and check out a place for a cub scout day hike. I'm not sure if I did much harm to grandma's cooking but I did find a great place for the kids hike.

The snowmachines made the trail easy walking

Beautiful out today, even without the sunshine

The old dam for the old power plant makes a nice waterfall

Very nice. Going out Sunday myself for a day of off trail adventure and hopefully some nice scenery. Headed to Red River Gorge to try to find some of the rock arches that are not on any of the trails. Got long, lat,map and compass should be a fun day with friends.

Wow, gorgeous pictures. I miss snow! I live in Upstate NY and by now we usually have enough snow that I am sick of it. I'm jealous! It looks like you had a great hike!

Yea grandpa, you finally got some snow! Pretty country! Does Tank have a new buddy?

Have fun Indiana and take some pics. How's the hammock hanging going?

Yes Judy, meet my daughters dog Copper. Copper had a late in life operation (neutering) and was feeling very despondent. So much so, we thought he needed a change of scenery for a while and a little more room to run. Tank has been busy showing him all the choice places to get in trouble and his attitude has improved immensely.

Yes, that's a flea collar on Copper. No indication of fleas but if he is going to be sharing my tent come spring, he's not going to have any either.

As soon as he gets a nice pack and gets to carry a few things like Tank he will be just fine! What type of dog is Copper?
