Default Lodge on Water

Have you tried sleeping on a lodge that is floating on water? I have tried this in my friend's place last month. They made a floating lodge that is firmly roped to three posts at the bank. It feels like I'm in a ship without the noise.

Not exactly a lodge but a house built on stilts above the waters. I was afraid that the water would come in during high tide, but it was nice when you look out of the windows and you see the fishes swimming beneath...

Take it from somebody who sleeps on a boat for a livin'. it just takes a period of adjustment. When I just get home it takes me a while to adjust to land. I sway when standing still, swager when walking and wake several times during the night with a start cause its so still and quiet. Right about the time I loose my sea legs and can sleep the night through its time to go to work and repeat the adjustment c ycle in the oposite direction.

I've never tried this before, but it sounds interesting. I bet it would be relaxing at night and probably even help you sleep better.

I never slept on a lodge but I did once sleep on an anchored raft. It didn't last long though when we realized that mosquitoes don't stop at the shoreline.
