Default My Kitten

So, I was just washing my hands in the sink and the kitten jumped in. She wasn't too happy when I hauled her out either. We kept finding wet paw prints all over the toilet seat so we have to keep it closed. I keep finding her hair in the bathtub too. I found her licking the faucet. She keeps spilling her water dish to roll around in the water like a bird bath. What to do ????

She wants a bath so throw her in the toilet, slap the lids down fast, flush twice and stand clear when you lift the lids.

Sounds like a water fascination. You might try getting a water feeder. Mine couldn't drink water fast enough just to see it bubble and hear the noise. Inexpensive at wally world. Kittehs are a mess! I also keep the bathroom doors shut cause sometimes curiosity can kill a cat and recently mine has become intrigued with cabinet doors and toilet paper rolls. Dang cat!

LMFO grandpa!

Oh Grandpa, don't try to be mean. It won't work. The other day I dumped some water on her with the shower door closed (I thought I was gonna teach her a lesson). It didn't even faze her. She just started lapping it up. I'm pretty sure that she is gonna LOVE as swirly.

Get a heavier water bowl she cant knock over and then close the bathrooms. Or if she is not making too much of a mess just let her have fun. You will have one of the few cats in the world that acutally likes playing in water, haha

Hi...

Lucky that you weren't dying anything in that sink, eh?

Hey, if your cat happens to like water...what the heck...just go with the flow. (no puns intended). I don't see a need to be worried about it. If it continues, just make sure that the cat has its own water/play area.

Sounds like you've got a unique critter, so why not make the best of it.

There are some breeds of cats that actually like water. What breed is your cat? If it is a mixed breed, maybe it has some purebred genes in it somewhere that likes water. I read a story on the net about a cat who liked water so much, it took to surfing. Hey, there's an idea!

Auto water feeder sounds like a good idea or get a bird bath that is small enough you can put in a room that does not have carpet in it. Our cat is a little weird too, she does not like the water but loves to sleep in the sinks.

You guys have some crazy cats! One that loves to play in water, and one that doesn't like water but sleeps in sinks! I would go for the auto water bowl, and just try and keep the bathroom doors shut.

I used to have a herding dog that I was very close to. Once in awhile she would follow me into the shower, get wet and then go outside.

I bought a log house once that came with a raven that used to be a pet. He roosted under the front porch at night, and sat on the open window sill when I took a shower. There was no screen and he was within 2.5 feet the whole time.
