Default Best State, County or Federal Park for Camping

What are some of your favorite parks for camping? We camped at Mill's Park near Fletcher, NC and it was really neat. It was a small park, but had lots of wildlife that one could see in the early morning and evening hours. During the summer they have a park ranger that does special activities with the kids each afternoon.

I like Cooper's Rock State Park in West Virginia. It's a small park too, I think only about 25 campsites. It's nice and quiet and the scenery is breathtaking!

I have always camped in Lewis and Clark State Park near Yankton SD. It's beautiful, and it's on the top ten best camground in the US list. With over 300 Sites its spread out so you don't feel crowded. There are planned activties for the children and some for adults too. We went to a dutch oven cooking show that was informative. Lots of room on the lake for boating, fishing or whatever you want to do.
