Default Doggie "Duty" Etiquette

Anyone know whether most camping grounds expect you to "clean up" after your pet if it does its business out in the woods? I wouldn't have a problem with it (save perhaps trying to find it at night) but I would think they'd be more lenient than my neighborhood.

I'm not sure if this is right, but I would think it depends on where you're dog is "going." If it's in the thick of the woods then perhaps not. But if it's in a cleared campsite or on a trail or path then, yes, I would think you would be expected to clean it up. That's just my guess.

You should ALWAYS pick up after your dog. Even in the middle of nowhere when you wouldnt expect anyone to step on it you should clean it up. It is not a natural part of the environment. Dog food is much differnt than the diet of any fox coyote or wolf. There is so much undigested nutrition grease and fat in a dogs Alpo poops that many animals in the forest will eat it.

You should treat your dogs poop just like your own. Bury it or pack it out.

I agree, even if your dog leaves it in the woods. You should still pack it out.
