![]() | I was roasting marshmallows one time at camp. I laid my stick down to eat it and when I picked up my stick again somehow I grabbed the wrong end and burned the you know what on my fingers. Ouch! I guess I shouldn`t be drinking and roasting lol. |

![]() | I've done similar things before. Not thinking and grabbed the wrong end of a stick. Even worse, I grabbed a cast iron pan after forgetting it was on the fire. |

![]() | This is a common mistake on camp fires. I also experienced this and I still have the scar of the burnt skin. By the way, what do you use for burnt skin? I applied toothpaste to cool off my burnt skin. |

![]() | I fortunately have never done that while out camping, but I have grabbed skillets off of the oven without a mitt before. Ouch! Always bring a first aid kit with you. |

![]() | I have done it camping and at home. I used ice until the burn stopped hurting so much. Every time I took the ice off it wold start to hurt sooooo bad. I am a klutz anyway so things like this happen to me all the time. |

![]() | At least you stuck it to yourself. My friend sat hers down once and then roasted another marshmallow then went to put it down again and stuck it to my leg. I still have the scar. |

![]() | Ouch!! I don't mind being cut as much as being burned. It seems like there is nothing like it. A cut I can forget sooner or later, a burn just keeps going. BTW to treat a burn, use ice first to get the temperature of the burn down so the burn won't progress. Then gently wash the burn with an antiseptic solution or sterile water if you have it. Apply any type of ointment to the burn and place a bandage of any type over it to make sure it avoids any type of friction. See a doctor if the burn is serious or in a place where it is likely to get infected. If a burn does not hurt, you have probably burned the skin down past the nerve endings and this is a third degree burn. Anything other than just a blister such as open skin or a burn that does not hurt, you will need to see a doctor for. |

![]() | I have done this often while I'm camping. I don't know but I think my hand coordination is just clumsy. I have lots of scars in my hand to remind of such camps. I guess there is a good thing with my scars because they remind me of the camping trips I had with burnt hands. |
