My Nephew Just Got His First Gas ATV

My nephew, who is 8 years old, just got his first gas powered ATV. He is thrilled. We let him ride it around the yard but one of us has to be nearby. He said he was getting too old for the electric ATV (and he was).

Does he do OK with it? I would think 8 would be a little too young for a kid to get a gas powered ATV but that's just me. Is he pretty responsible with it so far?

I'm guessing it's a pretty small 4-wheeler right? What kind and what size? My daughter has been riding since she was 10 and she was fine. I would make sure he has a helmet on and always has someone with him.

Depending on the kid, 8 is a fine age for it and of course depending the model too. What exactly did he get that he is so thrilled about?

He got a Wildfire 49cc. It's just a little thing and doesn't even hold a gallon of gas. It's got an electric start and he is absolutely wild about it. He uses a helmet most of the time (don't ask) and we are always out with him when he rides it.
