Default The Best Ride Ever

We were on the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario and we stumbled across a ranch offering horseback rides. We couldn't resist and had the most scenic hour of riding. They also offered all day rides which we did the next day. We ended up on a trail overlooking Lake Huron and could see for miles. It was spectacular. What was your best ride ever?

That is so much fun! We have been on a ranch a couple of times for vacations. One had a week long ride and camp trip. It was a lot of fun.

Some of the best rides you have or even outdoor experiences in general are those that seem to happen when time stops. Nothing is a worry, you are not thinking about work or school, all of the stress melts away. Kind of sounds like what you had just here.

I still remember my 7th birthday. For a present, my older brother took me to the top of the highest mountain near here. I even got to sit in a saddle for that trip. I think he was having second thoughts in a couple of the rough stretches but I made it okay. We had a lunch up there and I carved my name in the board. (someone had hauled a big old board up there by the cairn on top and it was traditional to carve your name) That board has long since been gone but new boards keep showing up.

That does sound like a really good horse back riding trip you had Den's Wife. I would like to have one like that myself. We have been on some nice ones but none that really stick out in my mind like that. Maybe someday soon.
