Seeing from Greater Heights

I have not been on a horse, since I was little. On Saturday, I visited my aunt who owns a bunch of horses. My cousin convinced me to saddle up with him, and I was in for a surprise! Since when did riding a horse, seem like standing atop a skyscraper?! I guess when I was a kid, I was fearless. I could not ride for long, because the height kind of scared me. Has anyone else experienced this, or am I just silly?

It isn't silly, it is real, but keep riding and you'll adjust just like you did as a kid. Also, as we get older, we have more thoughts about what could go wrong than when we were kids.

I couldn't ride for long my first time either. For me it was more of a case of not having my body and back side in shape for it. With time and practice, it feels normal to be so high and my body can handle it.
