Default Fishing gear for the kids

My son was very pleased with his new Mickey Mouse fishing pole for Christmas today. I'm a little jealous though, because I never received one of those childrens poles when I was younger. I started with an adult rod. Guess I have to live my dream through him.

I was in a tackle shop last year when a guy brought in a photo of a 6 lb bass that his 5 year old daughter hooked into and landed (with his help) using a Barbie pole.

they will work well! with a cheap small pole and a black rooster tail spinner, you might be amazed at what can be caught. as long as the line can hold up, and especially when the sun hits the water.

Nice, my kids use large poles. We went to a fishing derby and they won them in a raffle. I get my kids the cow bell type things that will ring when you have a bite. Can't wait to try those out with the kids.
