Default Using a fish finder for ice fishing

After Sitting out all day yesterday with not even one fish, I'm thinking I want to try a fish finder. Has anyone used one of these for ice fishing? I love fish and I want to eat more!

You can but the same caveats apply as they do when in a boat. They really aren't "fish" finders. It's better to think of them as structure finders. What is structure? Structure is the depth and the stuff on the bottom. Know where the fish you want like to hang out and use the "fish finder" to find the structure. Then drop your lines at the structure.

You may also need to either drop the antenna thing (the word is escaping me right now) through the hole or get one that can work when attached to the ice.
