    White Chicken Chili

That sounds pretty good. I know my husband gets tired of having regular chili all of the time so we will have to give this a try.

    Homecoming game last night

Our homecoming games were last weekend, but I haven't been to a high school football game since I was in high school. In fact the last high school football game I went to was to the homecoming game my senior year.

    Cheesy Enchilada Casserole

Just an update because I made this again. This time I made two and I did add bacon! ;) We had one for dinner this week and it was delicious, and I have got the other one in the freezer. I just wanted to see if this recipe would hold up well in the freezer, and my sister-in-law only has so much...

    Stanley Fubar demolition bar

Does anyone have any experience with this Stanley Fubar demolition bar? My dad mentioned wanting one and his birthday is next weekend. I was just wondering if they were any good or if anyone knows of a good comparable product.

    Leaving grill out all winter

I don't think you are crazy Suzie, if I knew for a fact I wasn't going to be using it I would cover mine too. We use ours at least a few times a month even when it is really cold out.

    It's touching me

I absolutely agree with you Grandpa and I do pay attention. How long has it been now since we have actually had a budget in this country? Continuing resolutions to keep us open for a couple of months more at a time are not the answer!

    Sheperd's pie variations

I make something that sounds very similar to these recipes with shredded chicken. I am not sure if that would count as Shepherd's pie. Now I am going to have to try this with beef!

    Epic bug battle

Chad, if you put your bags of cornmeal, rice, flour etc. in the freezer for 48 hours it will kill them and you won't have to worry about that anymore. TakeA, been there and done that but we actually had to call the exterminator to get things back under control.

    Had it!

Hang in there...surely it is bedtime by now. Hopefully, your hubby will feel better tomorrow and the kids will behave a little better for you. I have two kids under five and I know exactly how challenging it can be at times. :)

    Hiking with dogs

Our dog's have never been well-behaved enough to try and take them on the trail with us, but we always clean up after them when we take them to the park.

    Taking the munckins

Susie, they are four and two. We haven't gotten to do much this year because my hubby was unfortunate enough to suffer several injuries in separate incidents. They are a bit too much of a handful trying to get in the water and all for me to take them on my own. We didn't catch much, but both...

    Taking the munckins

We are planning to take the munchkins out fishing tomorrow morning before the rain rolls in tomorrow night. This will be their first trip out this year so I hope that we catch something!

Would you pass something off as something else?

No, I would not lie to anyone, and especially not my children, about what I was trying to feed them. I think that lying to the little girl and telling her it was chicken was just mean!

    Cheesy Enchilada Casserole

Thanks for the congrats! They are really excited and she is trying to find recipes that either freeze well or can be prepared ahead. My family loved this recipe and I can totally get behind adding bacon Great!

    Anyone in Karen's path?

We are pretty far inland but we are supposed to get a pretty large amount of rain. I am heading out in a bit to go cut the grass before it gets rained on again.
