Heh, so
that's
what Welcome Lake looks like. When I was there, the mosquitos were so thick you couldn't breathe. Didn't see much but the inside of my tent unfortunately. Clearly I need to go back.

Never had a mosquito problem in the Crags. But oh my the Winds were the most horrific I have ever seen this week. I thought Bechler in July was bad but we had swarms around us even on the windy ridges, crossing snow fields, EVERYWHERE. Sad to say, when we got back to Pinedale, after a sitz bath and two showers, I still flushed another dead one out of my hair.
