Peggy and I scored some riblets on sale so we threw them on the ole pit and had a wonderful afternoon patio party. The big ole box fan was stirring up a breeze and we had a ball. Sadly Peg suffered a bbq injury and is limping from twisting a knee dancing.

Thanks man, life is what you make it and we always try to make it fun. Sure all we did was light the pit, but we had good blues music playing, and we sang and danced and enjoyed the life we are blessed with. Bowing our heads in prayer over the plate shown, we gave thanks for the creamed cucumbers we had picked that morning. The squash we had picked that week, the pickles made from the same cucumbers, the ribs we had scored on sale for 1$ a lb, seasoned with or homemade seasoning. celebrate what ya got even if it aint much, and live your life in joy. If you don't think that 1$ plate was worth 100$ look at the last picture on the story.

Cappy has managed to capture some of the most important attributes missing in modern society, namely gratitude for what we have, friends we have, and the country we live in. Being self-sufficient is its own reward. Living well is a bunch of acquired skills and Cappy has acquired them. It is not about income, neighborhoods, and all the other stuff. It is about your attitude you have towards living.
