Hi...
Well, We're half way through the long weekend...and no drownings reported yet in our area (good news)...!!
The bad news locally is about multiple car crashes (normal for here)...serious ATV mishaps...and a few motorcycle crashes.
Then, of course, there are the hunters...with some serious instances of them plummeting out of their trees when in their hunting blinds/stands.
A recent post in a major Sporting Mag indicated that most of the hunters who replied to a question regarding the use of safety measures they could take to NOT fall out of their trees/blinds/stands...most responders thought it was good advice...but also stated that they don't...or would never use one...!!
Every sporting goods catalog abounds with gadgets to keep you safe when off the ground. If you're looking for the ideal Christmas gift for the deer hunter, think about that...!! My SIL used to be that way...never fell out of a tree (do roofs count?)...so a few years ago I gifted him with the means to 'stay connected'...!!
