Last time I cooked "fresh" salmon was over a campfire at the Great Sand Dunes NP campground. Just wrapped it in foil with some butter and spices and it tasted great! I bet shark steaks would work well, too.

    Anyone try SUP?

A couple of years ago I saw some people doing it while on a multi-day trip though the canyons of Dinosaur National Monument, which is up to Class IV! However, the area I saw them in was flat water. I bet they rode their support rafts through the rapids.

    Sage in a campfire?

:tinysmile_fatgrin_t Big Sagebrush is the signature species of the Great Basin Desert ecosystem. It is quite aromatic and I can smell it in the Midwest if the wind is right. I wouldn't eat it, too many toxins, although it may have some medicinal value... Artemisia tridentata -...
