    my best to date was with my dad we walked 40km in one day with packs. a frend of mine and my self a thinking of doing 80km over 2days.

    your right on with that, however since my SLR got droped i now use my phone as a camera but where i hike there is no phone reception.

    thank you for your replys i have 3 hiking tents i have a one for summer that is all fly mesh that has fly, i have a 3 season bivy for when im out by my self and i have a winter tent as well wich is as old as the hills and needs replacing. as for the fire 90% of my hikes are in national parks...

    Longest Hike

    the longest hike for me was a 97km (about 60mile) over 5days it was the overland treck in Tasmaina we did a few side trails as well.

    Do you prefer to go hiking alone or to always have someone with you?

    i enjoy both but when i hike solo i dont have to look out for my mates and can stop and fish or set up camp any time i like or just stay another night.
