Been a little cooler past few days, so we took a bicycle ride on a local trail around phipps bend on local river
This is where they started to build a Nuclear plant back in the 70s, and then shut it down early 80s after bringing in the reactor core and building one of the cooling tower platforms
It is now an industrial park. A local Eagle Scout got permission from the county to make some of the old roads into public trails. Great for bicycles, walking and horses
I love how the horses look at bicycles. We stop and try not to spook them.
The trail follows the river, which is my favorite canoeing fishing area.
it is also a wild life refuge. There's a deer out here checking us out
it was a good 4 mile ride. Now I can eat more cookies!
