I have never used a pop-up tent primarily because I tend to camp out for one, two, three weeks at a time and I need/want something more substantial. I usually stay with the outfitter type tents that provide excellent shelter from the elements. Perhaps you can share your experience with us. It is a really interesting topic and I don't have any knowledge about these products.

I'd be all for a pop up tent if it held up good to storms and such, and if it wasn't to heavy.

There is the word "best" again. I checked out twenty-five or thirty pop-ups on Amazon - I had trouble selecting the best one. In fact, I didn't select any one because I didn't check out the consumer's reports on the product lines.
