Best places to photograph in the Carolinas

I'm preparing to go hiking at the end of the month, and I'm wondering if there are any other Carolinas hikers here. What are the prettiest places in your opinion? I just got a new camera and I'm dying to try it out.

I am from Georgia but hike in Carolinas often. That is a big area with lots of options so it is hard to say just one. Are you going to be in North or South, want moutian top views or river valleys? Any additonal info would help suggest a good hike.
