Carpentry Book?

Can you recommend some basic book guide on carpentry? I want to learn basic stuff and I've been putting it off for quite some time.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes. They have awesome libraries available from basic to building big stuff. Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, you name it. Look at the books and see which one is geared for your understanding.

For a really basic book on carpentry, Sunset books has one in paperback. For a more inclusive one, I recommend Modern Carpentry.

Would you believe that those two books got me started as a carpenter years ago...??
