The bag turns with you.
I hate zippers. I close jackets with snaps and velcro.
I cannot speak for Northern Dancer, but for me having the bag close enough to turn with me and me not being able to flail, just suffocates me. Lol, I'm just a full of flaws excuse for a human being!

There were times that I inserted a pad with a cover inside the sleeping to first, keep me on a pad and to prevent it bunching up.

The 1st and only mummy bag I had, I only used on one trip. It did pack small and was very warm. I tend to flop and roll, sometimes, when I sleep. Like PPine said, I would roll the bag with me like I was wearing the bag instead of laying in it. I could sleep in one if I had to. I prefer more room to move around.
