Actually the jacket tent and the poncho tent have been around for a long time. They are old military designs along with the jacket sleeping bag. The other designs are cute but I think I'd rather have a GP Small at my base camp. (Sarge will know what that is.)

dino is right. Two ponchos can be used to make a shelter for two people. The yellow one is too small.

I like the dome tent but only if it has a non-see through covering. Otherwise, it's pretty cool! I like the opera house too, for it's style!

I picked up a surplus German sleeping bag that was a jacket. I used it during the winter months in the Mojave. Standing in a TC's spot in a turret, it worked great. Kept my whole lower body warm and still was able to hold on and use equipment. Try doing that with a regular mummy type bag! You'll flop around like Gumby and take a hell of a beating.
