Never throw away an empty Bic lighter, it's like a mini firesteel. Just a small modification is all that is needed to make the Bic usable. First remove the metal wind screen from the outside of the lighter. Next remove the button that controls the gas flow, that's about it. If anyone would like me to do a video on how to modify the Bic just ask as it can be a little tricky. The reason you must modify the Bic is because the material you are trying to lite must be right up against the spark source but not the striker wheel. Next use the palm of the hand and rake the wheel quickly, doing so builds up much more heat. Learning skills is very important and can at times keep you alive.
