Traps?

Do you make your own traps? I'm not talking just about trap setups that you can make from natural materials but hand-made tools for catching animals.

I am quite familiar with trapping...and the only traps that I know of that can be hand-made without special machinery/forging are snares.

The best mouse trap I have found involves a plastic bucket, a soda bottle and peanut butter as bait!

I have made: fish traps, crawfish traps, crab traps, box traps for squirrels and other small animals, caught coon and possum in them too. snare wires for squirrel, rabbit and a pesky fox once, snares for coon too. But mostly I use snare wire loops for gar fish. Most of my trapping of land animals was #8 double jawed double spring traps for coon, mink, and otter. That helped put cash in my pocket as a young kid.
