Bet you put the seat down.
I have trained a number of Beagles for hunting purposes and never found any real difference. Most of the difference had to do with the intelligence of the dog. I did notice that the females took to me a lot quicker than the males. This wasn't a matter of compliance. They just loved me which might have made them easier to train.
Come to think of it, if a woman loves you she'll make you a sandwich without being asked. Hmmm.....this deserves a bit more study.

Lid too, but that was just to keep the dog from drinking.

Peg never was one to complain b out the seat being up. but I usually put it down for her just cause I wanna she aint ever asked and for years put it up when she finished. Now that we are the owners of a 3 month old border collie pup like the wise one said we leave the cover down now too found her sitting in it the other day. The dog not Peg.
Even the card knows not to argue with a woman.
Yup. Arguing with a woman is definitely on my list of fruitless endeavors.
