According to Raw Story, BBC documented over 900 hours of activity between the puffer fish and dolphins. It was found that the intelligence of the dolphins let them them how much of the puffer fish toxin could safely intoxicate them. One puffer fish was shared by several dolphins, with the toxin released in smaller doses to cause narcotic effects. Large doses that were released could be deadly -- in people or dolphins.
